OUR STORY

Theodora Mission is US-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping Egypt’s children with special needs who are often neglected. Together with local church leaders and our generous donors around the world we are able to provide our children in Egypt with physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical care, parental education, home visits, transportation to our centers, and activities and excursions. The overarching goal is to empower our children and their families and equip them with life skills they need to succeed.
The Theodora Mission was, and continues to be, inspired by co-founder Karam Awad’s daughter – Theodora Awad, born with cerebral palsy. Theodora lives in the United States and has access to medical care that is tailored to her unique needs. Mr. Awad realized they were fortunate to be in America with access to such care and noted the discrepancy for children like Theodora in Egypt – a gap he, along with his fellow co-founders – endeavors to close.
Your partnership is vital to Theodora’s Mission success – you can play a direct role in relieving stress and sorrow experienced by children with special needs and their families and replace it with joy and possibility.
